Looking forward to moving out to one of those amazing villas for sale in Dubai that you’ve been watching online? Well, you should know that Dubai is constantly developing sustainable methods so the city can turn into a greener, cleaner and better version of itself.

So how can you plan to live in a green place when your habits and even your things don’t help out too? Did you know that, according to EPA statistics, in 2015 over nine tones of the furniture and home décor ended up on dumpsters? Top Dubai real estate agencies recommend using goods that were sustainably manufactured and also are affordable.

And as new off plan property in Dubai, green technology comes with it. What are you doing to be part of this worldwide change? And the most important question: eco-friendly or wallet-friendly? In this article, you’ll know how to find the balance you need between fast and sustainable furniture.

1. LOOK FOR GREEN PRODUCTS

Finding eco-friendly and sustainable products is what your property needs. How about buying a table that’s been made with recycled wood from other pieces of furniture or getting a pillow that’s made of sustainable organic cotton.

2. TRY GOING DRASTIC

Setting up goals for yourself like having 30% or 50% of your stuff made from recycled and sustainably sourced materials. You can be even more hardcore and trying to turn that 50% into 100%.

Of course, this isn’t an easy decision and its costs are relative, depending on what you’re planning to do. Are you doing all of your stuff DIY or will you buy pre-owned products and give them a fresh look with recycled materials or are you planning to buy everything? It’s your decision! (and your wallet).

3. BUY PRE-OWNED PIECES

As mentioned before, something amazing that you can do so you do good to both the world and your pocket at the same time is buying pre-owned furniture. This market is a fast-growing one and is a green way to make your house look good.

There are plenty of services these days that offer this kind of products, such as Facebook Marketplace and Dubizzle.

By reducing the consumption of new furniture, you also reduce its mass production which emits all kinds of hazardous fumes and pollutants to the atmosphere, damaging the ozone layer and contributing to global warming.
