10 Little Moments That Make You Feel Single

December 27, 2019 by John Telford

In spite of what a majority of the people think, being single does not strike as something desirable or fun. You can try to immerse yourself in your work life all you may want, but there would be moments which send off a piercing feeling in your heart and remind you of your loneliness.

Here are some 10 moments where you as a single person might have found yourself longing for some company!

  1. During a Wedding

Weddings are those ultimate places which remind you that yet another couple is now starting a life together, while you are wallowing single.

  1. While Eating Out

So you and your friends went out to a fancy restaurant to enjoy another night out, but then your eyes catch sight of a couple happily engaging in PDA (public display of affection) which then again reminds you of how single you are.

  1. When Traveling in Public Transport

Couples sure like to hold hands and get comfy with each other in public transport. As much as it tends to be irritating, you cannot help but feel a layer of envy and emptiness that you do not have someone to hold hands with.

  1. Before Going to Sleep

Physical and sexual satisfaction plus having someone to be intimate with so you can talk without hesitation is extremely necessary for a fulfilling life.

This is one reason why the demon of loneliness haunts a lot of single people and keeps them awake at night.

  1. On Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is the day of love where you see couples hanging out and spending time with each other.

Many singles especially in London even resort to hiring some London escorts to stop that plunging feeling of loneliness.

  1. On New Year’s Eve and Day

A new year is starting, again reminding you that you have no one to share that special time with! Talking about New Year Resolutions and planning another year with your special someone is itself a beautiful feeling.

  1. While Watching a Movie

Cinemas are the ultimate places for couples to engage in PDA. You may be all mesmerised by a movie, until you notice a couple kissing passionately right beside you.

  1. Right after a Breakup

Breakups are devastating for almost everyone out there. Getting used to being single after spending so much time with someone is not something to master so easily and keeps you disturbed for days.

  1. During High School Prom

Teen dating is a whole different world, and there is something fun about asking someone out to Prom or Dance. But as fun it is, it is extremely crushing when you end up alone on the event after plenty of rejections.

  1. After a Hectic Day at Work

Having someone to share about your yet-another-hectic-day with is a soothing feeling in itself. It relaxes you and makes you realise that you have a life outside of work, and proves therapeutic as well.
