VIBE
Bring a hot date and a credit card to this romantic resto set in a mod “metallic lace” dome on the roof of the neo-classical Musée du Quai Branly. The anthropology exhibits in the museum might be a bit dated, but this swanky Jean Nouvel-designed eatery is ultra-contemporary with a glass ceiling and walls affording take-your-breath-away views of the Eiffel Tower and a trendy seasonal bill of fare offering dreamy tasting menus. The comfortable, distressed leather armchairs and many intimate nooks are perfectly arranged for a tête-à-tête with someone special, though even dinner with the ‘rents would work here given the conversation-piece views.
CROWD
A cosmopolitan, well-traveled mix of upscale types interspersed with lots of couples.
WHAT WE WOULD WEAR
A très chic little cocktail dress and classic accessories.

WHY WE LIKE IT
Ok, so the views are what really stole our hearts (if you come at night, the tower is lit up for 10 minutes every hour–so lovely!), but the well-edited menu of French classics with an international twist is pretty sweet, too. When it’s nice out, we like to book a table on the terrace.
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
Service can be really crummy, especially when it’s busy.
GOOD TO KNOW
From 3:00pm to 5:30pm the restaurant is a “salon de thé” and only serves light bites. Also housed in the museum and under the same management is the more casual Café Branly–the food is similar, but the views don’t stack up with Les Ombres’.
