VIBE
It’s hard not to be wowed by the opulence of this legendary Champs-Élysées property. The marble-and-gold trimmed lobby features 18th century tapestries and priceless fine art, the decadent in-house restaurant is at two Michelin stars and counting, the pampering spa is the best-equipped in town, and the sumptuous guestrooms (even the “moderate” rooms feature crystal chandeliers) are peerless. And for those blasé travelers who still remain unimpressed by such richly appointed surrounds, the Four Seasons George V has an ace up its sleeve: few can turn up their noses at the magnificent views of the grands boulevards and the Eiffel Tower as seen from its private balconies.

WHY WE LIKE IT
It’s not just the name that has a royal ring to it–from the positively regal surrounds to the impressive array of amenities (Michelin-starred dining and sumptuous spa anyone?), the entire George V experience made us feel like royalty.
AMENITY WE LOVE
The spa. It ever so modestly labels itself "the most luxurious hotel spa in Paris,” and while we’re not sure what kind of luxuriousness test was used when deciding who got that title, we won’t quibble…we’re too busy dreaming about its pampering treatments. (And, for the rooms that have them, the private terraces are pretty charming, too.)
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
We specifically had a hard time with the concierge, being less-than-impressed with the “No, impossible” response and the lack of alternative options provided (i.e., “No, that restaurant is full…and that one…and that one…I’m not sure what else would be similar…”). We know the concierges at this property get great hype, however, so hopefully it was just us!
GOOD TO KNOW
If you’ve got kids in tow, check out the great selection of child-friendly amenities (including a welcome pack and kids’ menus in the restaurants). If you’re looking to wine-and-dine, restaurant Le Cinq is a must-hit destination: the surrounds are as gorgeous as the Michelin-starred haute cuisine. (The china and silver were even custom-designed for the restaurant!)
