This is a great spot for business travelers looking to inject some fun into their stay. The Living Room lobby lounge is perfect for rendezvousing with a colleague or meeting up with a friend for a pre-dinner drink or two, and for less business and more pleasure, there's the UnderBar. And finally, there’s the location: Union Square is not too Uptown, not too Downtown, and a lively destination in itself with plenty of options for food and drink.

The Union Square Greenmarket sets up across the street–a perfect spot to grab healthy snacks on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. If you're running late for your flight, try their FareWell Kiosk, where you can print boarding passes and check out in a hurry. Pets are welcome (for a fee). Some kids perks available (like cribs and child-friendly choices on the room service menu), but the grown-up atmosphere means it’s not a great spot for young families. Car services offered. This hotel is a member of the global W Hotels chain, which belongs to Starwood Hotels (make sure to sign up for their loyalty program if you are staying here–it’s a good one).
