    VIBE

An instant hit during Fashion Week, this recently opened farm-to-table restaurant has already gained quite a bit of momentum. Focused mainly on locally sourced foods, its kitchen highlights the best of the best on New York’s gourmet scene, and is not shy about name-dropping. But who’s to complain, when one could easily order, in one fell swoop, smoked sausage and other cured meats from Schaller & Weber, pastrami from Katz’s, pickles from The Pickle Guys, and chocolates from Mast Brothers? Certainly not us–we’d rather gorge on it all, take full advantage of the floor-to-ceiling wine wall, and stock up on cheeses and Café Grumpy coffee drinks on our way out.

    CROWD

A mix of business lunchers, casual twosomes, and 20- and 30-something couples.

    WHAT WE WOULD WEAR

Stylish casual is the norm here; go for a conservative but elegant top, pleated pants or skirt, and your favorite heels.

    WHY WE LIKE IT

The purity of their flavors. The market-driven ingredients are so fresh that there’s no need to reach for that salt and pepper. (When we visited, the chicken schnitzel was heavenly.) Plus, what a perk not to have to dash around town to source all of these famous New York eats.

    WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

    Nothing yet!

    GOOD TO KNOW

The restaurant interior matches well with the aesthetic of the rest of the Andaz Fifth Avenue hotel, making it an easy go-to for hotel guests looking for a place to dine. Its corner location allows for great window lighting and people watching.
