This American bistro on the third floor of the Time Warner Center mall is a solid go-to choice for a decent meal and good, affordable wine. At peak hours, mall-goers, neighborhood residents and business types crowd into the dark, spacious, modern dining room. The menu offers an extensive variety of meat, fish, and pasta dishes-comfort–style foods that are easy on the palate.

WHY WE LIKE IT

The low-key atmosphere is a definite plus, given its high profile location at the heart of the Time Warner Center. Its large windows allow for great natural lighting during the day, and the views of Columbus Circle are impressive. Wine is sold at rates well below those of most restaurant wine lists (score!).

WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

The décor itself is a bit dark and gloomy at night, when the light isn’t streaming in from outside. For bistro fare, we like light!

GOOD TO KNOW

Relative to New York prices, this venue is an affordable option at any time of day. They offer a great kids’ menu, and whether you are young or old, the mini ice cream cones (we love the milk chocolate flavor) here are one of the menu’s highlights. Bar dining is also available. We would stay away from the mussels–we have ordered them twice and only half of them were open. Landmarc offers online to-go ordering, delivery, and catering services.
