VIBE
The aesthetics of this below-street-level SoHo sushi house have made it a neighborhood favorite as well as a standby hip sushi destination, where couples cozy up and sushi lovers call for more. From the precision-paneled ceiling to the walls, floor, and furnishings, wood colors blend together to soften the mood. Candlelight and low-lit fixtures on the walls and ceiling add a warm glow to the room. Only the sushi bar itself is highlighted by light gray walls and bright lighting−the spotlight's on the chef masters doling out classic yet creative dishes of fish hailing from the Pacific, the Atlantic, and the Sea of Japan.
CROWD
Trendy SoHo residents, suits, romantics, people-watchers, and sushi lovers.
WHAT WE WOULD WEAR
Although a date place, you can dress casually with a sweater, slacks, and cute flats.

Friends; coworkers; significant other; a date; yourself
WHY WE LIKE IT
This romantic hotspot is open late every day, which allows for unforeseen extended hours with that special someone, or just a fabulous late night with good friends, while nibbling on some of the freshest raw seafood the city has to offer.
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
Some of the rolls’ prices are a touch steep; it’d be nice to drop that down a touch.
GOOD TO KNOW
The Blue Ribbon restaurant group includes numerous venues throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Las Vegas. Blue Ribbon Sushi in SoHo, however, remains one of the most popular. The extensive sake selection here is remarkable and should not be missed. If you are not here for romance (or simply want to escape it), the best seats in the house are at the sushi bar, where you can watch the deft handwork of the chefs.
