There’s The Bar (a clubby U-shaped affair complete with a 39-foot Chesterfield sofa), The Drawing Room (with comfy leather sofas and a menu of light bites and swanky booze), The Games Room (for a bourbon and some billiards), and, best of all, The Roof, a splashy poolside lounge with full waiter service and plenty of opportunities for celeb spotting from a sun lounger.

WHAT WE WOULD WEAR

Go for a casual but chic designer outfit. If you’re coming for summertime poolside lounging, the look should be “I just rolled out of bed and tossed whatever I had on hand…which happened to be a McQueen sundress, chunky Prada sandals, and a pair of vintage Ray-Bans.” Take things up a notch after dark to something sleeker and more put-together.

The membership list of Soho House is a who’s who of New York’s most trendy residents–we love celeb spotting as we sip poolside cocktails, or hobnobbing with the thirty-something moguls in the lounge.

That members only policy. Can be tough to get in if you don’t have friends in high places.

GOOD TO KNOW

Kids are allowed, but not enthusiastically welcomed in the upstairs lounge and pool area. Children are only permitted in the pool during restricted hours, and they are not permitted in the bar area.
